Batgirl at Superhero High

Batgirl at Superhero High by Lisa Yee is the third book in the Series. It follows Barbara Gordon as she tries to convince her father to let her to go to Superhero High following the events of the last book. It demonstrates how she goes about trying to convince her father to let her go to the school and what happens when he finally relents.

While I haven't read the first two books in this series it was not hard to get into it at all even though it jumped in at the ending of the second book. You can piece together what happened as the story goes on so you can understand the story. You also get to see the different antagonists throughout the book that the superheroes had to deal with such as Granny Goodness and The Calculator.

I loved the characters in the book and their quirkiness, like Harley's gymnastics and Supergirl's strength. All the characters have something unique about them and that helps bring the story alive. Even minor characters have their own thing about them.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and had a good narrator, both which helped to make this an enjoyable read.

I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion.

Bookcon Is Awesome!!!! : )

My family and I just got back on Monday from New York! We went to the top of the Empire State Building and saw the Chrysler Building, the Statue of Liberty, and Central Park. Afterwards we went to Macy's and walked around Times Square.
We were there for Bookcon. Bookcon is a part of BEA, opened to public for the first time last year and we went and I got to see Rick Riordon, Lemony Snicket, Carl Hiaasen, and Veronica Roth. This year I got to see Ridley Pearson (I love his books), Judy Blume (my mom loves her books) , Jeff Smith (because of my brother), James Dashner (he was with Ridley Pearson), and Felicia Day (because of my parents). I was so happy when Ridley Pearson did an impromptu book signing. My brother got an autographed book by his idol, Grumpy Cat.

I just got a French cruller and it was delicious. The outside was crunchy, kind of like a pastry shell, and the inside was light and buttery. It was delicious. I also like French apple, chocolate glazed, chocolate frosted, Boston cream, coffee rolls, and Oreo cheesecake.

JELLY BEANS!!!!

One of my favorite types of candy is jelly beans. I only know of one brand of jelly beans and that is Jelly Belly. I like a lot of flavors including root beer, cherry, or strawberry cheesecake, orange soda, tutti fruitti,
and s'mores.  Jelly beans are delicious.
